Art has always been my passion, from childhood, I was painting, working with wood or clay, sewing, knitting or crocheting, designing and making most of my clothes. I studied art in school, also attended art seminars and took lessons in various  mediums over the years that followed. A mid-80's award for Most Promising Artist started me on a more serious artistic path. Designing kids rooms, hand painting furniture and commissioned paintings were my specialties.

The creative juices began to flow again after my 1992 move to Antigua. Surrounded by the beautiful Caribbean colours and scenery, there is always an inspiring idea to put on canvas or wood. Whilst the many birds and flowers are willing subjects, I also enjoy the peacefulness of the beaches and graceful palms.

As you will see in the gallery, there is a quirky side to my creativity, especially when working with papier mache. The usual bowls have given way to funky animals and other playful items. Do you have an idea you would like to challenge me with?

While browsing the gallery , you will notice a variety of subjects and styles. Some days a palm or a bamboo just take on a different dimension, more abstract, which seem to fit perfectly into the scheme of things. My favourite song, "Rhapsody in Blue" translated into the blue with white clouds background and white and blue musical motif, which can be ordered in any colour combinations.

Please note the Kids Corner section, wooden letters and paintings can be ordered in any theme, colour or name you wish.

Commissions play an integral part of my creations, from single pieces that can be found in UK, USA, Canada, Italy, France, the Canary Islands and Brazil, to the Buccaneer Beach Club in Antigua which boasts 108 original acrylic and watercolours.

All of the art can be ordered in sizes and colours to suit your decorating requirements. It will be my pleasure to work with you to create that special piece of art for your home, gift or office and I welcome your ideas or subject requests. Paintings are shipped rolled in a tube, just take to a frame shop and put on stretchers for an informal look or frame it, either way it is your personal piece of original art! Papier mache items are shipped in a box.

Thank you for visiting with me and enjoy your journey through the gallery.

While visiting Antigua please stop by The Art Loft upstairs on St. Mary's Street just steps away from Heritage Quay.  Featuring my artwork and other Antiguan artists, The Art Loft is the only place in St. Johns that displays exclusively local artists, original art, prints, pottery, photography, linens, books and cards.  Be sure to also check out the Christmas items.
